This fabric originates from Burkina Faso, it is mostly worn by women for all types of events but can also be worn by men.

We present to you this fabric from West Africa specifically Burkina Faso. This premium Burkinabé fabric evokes several meanings and symbols. The meaning of Faso Dan Fani is “woven loincloth of the homeland”. This fabric was worn by the kings of the Mossis “Mogho Naaba”, an ethnic group in Burkina Faso known for their cotton cultivation.

It was giving its continental recognition when Thomas Sankara imposed it as the official clothing for civil servants of the Burkinabé state which helped in the rapid production of the fabric across the country.

It is handspun and dyed by women and woven by weavers on indigenously made machines. This fabric can be used to make clothes for cultural and contemporary events such as weddings, engagements, conferences, church and office wears.  It is 100% handmade and 100% cotton from Burkina Faso.
